Who is Trinity?
We are the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement, spreading faith and following Jesus's way. Read this page to learn more about the people that make up our family here at Trinity.
Here at Trinity, we are a family. Join us as we worship, help, and connect with one another through activities we have at the church.
Trinity Church Milford is currently being led by Mother Judith Lee.
During the pandemic we hold 2 services each week on Zoom:
Sundays at 9 am –
Hybrid (In-person and on Zoom) service of Holy Communion
The Zoom link is sent on Saturday evening.
Wednesdays at 10 am –
Prior to the pandemic, we held Holy communion on Wednesdays and 3 weekend services:
5:00 PM Holy Eucharist Rite II
The 5:00 PM Saturday Holy Eucharist is an informal service following Rite II of the Book of Common Prayer conducted by the priest without music. We gather at the altar, and we share reading of the Scripture and distribution of Holy Communion.
8:00 AM Holy Eucharist Rite I
The 8:00 AM Sunday Eucharist is a spoken service using Rite I of the Book of Common Prayer, conducted by the priest, with the assistance of a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Lectors. Rite I uses traditional, more formal language, addressing God using the pronouns thee, thy and thou. The opening prayer in Rite I is:
Almighty God, unto whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen
10:00 AM Holy Eucharist Rite II
At the 10:00 AM Sunday Holy Eucharist, the choir joins the priest, Lay Eucharistic Minister and Acolytes in leading the service following Rite II of the Book of Common Prayer. The congregation and choir sing service music and hymns and on most Sunday the choir sings one or two anthems.
The children taking part in the Christian Education Program join the congregation for before Holy Communion to share their Lesson of the Day and lead us in a prayer.
Rite II uses more modern, less formal language, addressing God using the pronouns you and your. The opening collect in Rite II is:
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen
