The Sunday school is a multi age group ranging from age 4 to 11. There are 3 to 4 adults helping every Sunday in church School. In addition to reading the children's Bible story, the children are lead in activities to reinforce the meaning of the story. Activities include art, science, and drama activities. If your child is interested Sunday School please contact Rachel Carpenter, Children's Education Coordinator.
Sunday School is currently on break for the Summer, but if your family would like to continue with weekly family worship opportunities, see below:

The Fruit of the Spirit is Patience Activity InstructionsHands On: Sweet Treat Test of Patience Object Lesson
Supplies: A Favorite Sweet Treat (gummy bears, m&m’s, fruit snacks, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips), 2 Small Bowls or Bags (per person)
Place one treat in one bowl and a handful of the treat in the second bowl.
Offer the treat to your child before dinner, but let them know they have an option. Either they can have the first bowl that has only one treat in it before dinner or if they wait patiently until after dinner they can have the second bowl that has a lot more.
Talk about it: Depending on which option your child chose you can talk about whether they were patient or not and why they chose to be patient or wait or impatient and eat the treat.
As always, email me something you learned from the Douglas Talks video or a video / picture of you doing the activity and you will get a point towards a prize at the end!
I hope so much you are all having a great summer!! ~Rachel

WAY TO GO EMILY KEE!! I LOVED the video of you, Brandon and your dad doing the Fruits of the Spirit dance! 1 point for the Kees! Nice singing Mr. Kee :)
Here is this week's church school activity! This week, we will focus on our first fruit of the spirit, LOVE! Take a few minutes to watch these two videos and then do the activity! In the first video, there's a little muppet guy - it might look like the video is for young kids, but it's really not! He does a great job teaching us about LOVE:)
Each week I will be posting some videos and activity ideas that you can do from home! If you complete an activity, email me a picture of your finished product. You will get a point for each activity you complete. At the end of the summer, whoever gets the most points will win a prize! Our summer theme will be The Fruits of the Spirit. This week, the activities focus on introducing the topic. The following weeks will focus on each individual fruit of the spirit.
Make sure to email me something that shows me that you completed an activity. What did you learn from the cartoon video? Send me a video of you doing the dance in the second video! Send me a picture of the craft you complete! Have fun!!!
Lesson: The Good Shephard and the parable of The Lost Sheep
Today we learned about the lesson of The Good Shephard. We particularly focused on the parable of The Lost Sheep. We started off watching this lego video of The Lost Sheep
Next, we discussed what it means to be a shepherd and how Jesus acts as our shepherd. Even if we make a bad choice, and become a "lost sheep", Jesus will forgive us and help us find the way back "home" to him.
Next, we played the cup switching game to pretend we were shepherds keeping track of our sheep:) The Kee family actually had a toy sheep to use in our game!
Lastly, we played an online memory game teaching us that we all have very unique and wonderful characteristics and that Jesus knows us inside and out and will always find us / forgive us if we become lost, like the sheep in the parable.
There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL ON MOTHER'S DAY. We will resume, on zoom:), on Sunday, May 17. Our last day of Sunday school will be Sunday, June 7.
