The Altar Guild is a peaceful ministry of duties shared by a dedicated group of volunteers who rotate responsibility on a weekly schedule. Weekly tasks include:
The Guild takes on additional responsibilities and recruits additional volunteers seasonally. For example, the “greening” of the church with wreaths and poinsettias for Christmas or the set-up for a glorious Easter where daffodils and Easter lilies abound. - setting the Altar up for service
- polishing the brass
- replacing the votive candles and Sanctuary candle
- dusting and washing and ironing the linens.
