Lay Eucharistic VisitorsOnce each month, Lay Eucharistic Visitors provide Holy Communion—and cheer—to parishioners who are in assisted-living facilities or homebound because of illness or infirmity. Lay Eucharistic Visitors work closely with the Rector in strengthening the spiritual bonds of community at Trinity. A home Communion kit including script and prayer options is given to a Lay Eucharistic Visitor at the end of a service of Eucharist on Sundays. Training is provided by the minister on how to share communion with visited parishioners. A homebound parishioner who wishes to receive a Lay Eucharistic Visitor, as well as parishioners who wish to provide this most-appreciated service, are asked to contact David Clinkman. The names of possible recipients can also be provided by relatives or friends.
