Blue Christmas
A Service of Hope & Remembrance

The Worcester Deanery  On Zoom

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

[Isaiah 40:1]
For many people, the Christmas season brings complicated feelings. In this season of joy and love, many struggle with grief and loneliness. This is especially true during the pandemic.

Blue Christmas is a quiet, meditative service of music, prayers, and readings for comfort and peace.  We remember times of joy and we are sustained by hope and grace in the face of loss.  Together, offer our sorrow and our hope to God for healing and transformation. We share the gift of knowing that we are not alone.

Please join the Worcester Deanery at one of the three following services:
7 pm Tuesday December 8
4 pm Sunday December 13
7 pm Monday December 21

You may want to have an Advent wreath or four candles available, plus pen & paper.

A Season of Prayer for the Election
October 27 - November 4, 2020

A novena is an ancient tradition of nine days of devotional prayers, often with a specific intention. For these 9 days, we pray for discernment in voting and for the well-being of our nation.

In preparation for the election, may we all join in a season of prayer, offering to God our fears and frustrations, our hopes and dreams.
