April 4, 2021
Festival Service of Holy Eucharist
on Zoom @ 9am
Because we consecrate new communion wafers on Easter Day, we will not have communion wafers to consume at home.  We will observe what is called "spiritual communion" by praying in thanksgiving for the union with Christ that is made possible in Holy Communion.
Ministers of the Liturgy:
The Rev. Dr. Judith Lee
Dave Clinkman, James Jones, Lisa Ruggiero, Ginny Starkis
Musicians:
Randolph Bloom, Jeff Lukas, Cathy Poch
If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation:
everything old has passed away;
see, everything has become new!       [2 Corinthians 5:17]

Last week we mentioned the water buffalo, also known as the 'gentle giant'.  This week, it is the heifer, which is a young, female cow. We all know that cows give milk, which provides nutrition.  Families that receive a heifer will have milk to drink and can sell any extra milk they have, which enables them to boost their income.  A heifer also provides fertilizer,  which helps with a better crop yield and in turn results in food for families.  Those that receive a heifer are provided education and training on taking care of the animal, which benefits both the family and the heifer herself.   If the heifer has off spring, they are passed on to other families in the community, so the entire community benefits.   One female cow can help bring stability to so many people struggling with hunger issues, something to think about the next time you reach for a glass of milk.
Please remember during the Easter season,  to add a coin to your mite box/container for things you are thankful for!

GFS Scholarships are available!
