July Prayer Calendar Vacation Bible Camp: Dining in the Kingdom of God “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 When: August 2-5 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for campers. From 2-5:30 p.m. for helpers and leaders Where: United Parish in Upton or ONLINE in your own kitchen. Who: Trinity, United Parish of Upton, and St. Matthew’s Episcopal in Worcester want to gather ‘round the table with YOU—campers (grades K-6), helpers (grades 6-8), and leaders (adults of all ages!). What: We’re going to have fun and learn about God through sharing food and embracing the gift of hospitality by learning cooking skills! Each day will end with a blessing from one of our pastors for the meal we’ll share with those at home. Why: Sharing food never comes with the question, “Why?” We know that our faith in God and our neighbor love increases when we share food, and all ages can learn how to give and receive hospitality. This program is also designed to help us process some of the things we’ve been through in 2020 and 2021, with hope that comes from God-stories. This time has really taught us how to be geographically unbound, and we’ve become friends and partners in ministry with these other congregations. We’re glad to be making new friends! How: Campers, helpers, and leaders use the same registration form. If you (adult 18+) don‘t have a background check or CORI on file and want to lead at camp, please reach out to [email protected] and request one. We’d love to see you! To Register: Go to: www.trinitychurchmilford.org or click here. For more information contact Rachel Carpenter at: [email protected] JULIETs Luncheon The next JULIETS luncheon is on Wednesday, July 14 (Happy Bastille Day!) at the Chateau Restaurant in Franklin. at 12:30pm. Cleaning Day at the Church Saturday July 17th 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. We missed our opportunity to prepare the sanctuary for Easter this year, and part of our preparation for new ministry is to clear out and re-organize our storage areas. So we are asking everyone to participate for the morning or for an hour to prepare our sanctuary for the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on Sunday or to work in the parish building organizing and sorting our storage rooms. Together we will dust, polish, shine, and organize. Please contact Mary-Ellen Yaroshefski or Beth Moeller to learn how you can help.
