A Prayer for the Journey
by Becca Stevens
God, set me on the path again.
Turn me to the rising sun when I need to be inspired.
Turn me to wilderness when I need to be lost.
Turn me toward the business of the world when I need to work.
Turn me toward the mountain when I need to be refreshed.
Then turn me toward the sunset when I need rest.  Amen

Thank you to our July 17th Cleaning Party
A group of Trinity friends chatted and laughed together as they polished brass and dusted the sanctuary, cleaned windows and reorganized the Murray Hall pantry and the Mary Moore Room, and did weeding and planting outside.  It was a wonderful morning-- thanks to everyone for their time and heartfelt friendship.

Vestry Highlights: July 19, 2021
Resolved
  • To give Rachel Carpenter one month’s compensation for her work on the Vacation Bible Camp
  • To fund renovations at the rectory from our Capital Reserve Fund
  • To fund removal of vermiculite and installation of new insulation from the rectory by a loan from our investment accounts
  • Confirmed email approval of Mother Judith’s contract through July 30 2021.
Discussion
What have we done well?
  • The careful diligence of Dwight Kee, Cheryl Eidinger-Taylor, and the Finance Committee to prepare funding proposals
  • Cleaning the church
  • The baptism liturgy on July 19th
What could we have done better?    Managing sound quality during the Sunday service

Farewell to Karen Carig-O’Neill
Karen has served as our Assistant Treasurer for many years, doing the invisible work of maintaining our accounts and supporting the work of our Treasurer.  Karen and her family have brought much joy to Trinity. They are now relocating to North Carolina. We wish them godspeed on their new adventure.

Altar Flowers: Summer
Now that we are gathering for Holy Eucharist every Sunday, we would like to have fresh flowers at the altar every week. However, our florist reports that prices have increased significantly during the pandemic. We invite donations from your gardens.  Please contact Mary-Ellen Yaroshefski if you wish to contribute.  This may be an opportunity for thanksgiving or memorials.
